Clean Sweep For The Young Guns!

Under 17's

A strong Colts squad headed to regular rivals Haslemere on Sunday. The plan was to play the game in four quarters, with some players experimenting with new roles out on the pitch. The four quarters working well for regular review of the new of roles.
So, with a 2nd row running out at fly half, the first quarter saw Cranleigh set up camp in the opposition’s 22. The team dominated play, and after several rucks Ben Walker cut a lovely line, and steamed over for the first of his two tries!
Cranleigh continued strong in the 2nd quarter, they were perhaps guilty of a little white line fever at points, but were able to deliver a second try by maintaining structure.
Entering the third quarter with fresh legs in departments, Cranleigh were put under pressure by a spirited Haslemere squad, but the newly adopted exit drills paid dividends and they were unable to breach Cranleigh’s defences.
The fourth and final quarter saw three more Cranleigh tries as the offloading game reached new heights as they kept the ball alive, running straight and hard, always with someone there in support. One such manoeuvre saw Theo Holohan crash across the line to score.
MOTM 🏆  Theo Holohan, with special mention to both Jack Faulkner and Huw Chapman for outstanding play.Try scorers: Jack Faulkner, Ben Walker (2), Theo Holohan and Ollie Brunning
