Cranleigh faced a tough challenge as they visited Haslemere, hoping to end their losing streak.

They knew they had to fight hard, as their previous encounters with Haslemere had been close and intense.

Haslemere started strongly, putting pressure on Cranleigh with multiple phases of attack. They seemed to have the upper hand, until Cranleigh’s defence stood firm and stopped their advance. But Haslemere did not give up, and their powerful centre broke through several tackles to score the first try.

This could have been a blow to Cranleigh’s morale, but they showed a new spirit of determination and resilience. They did not let Haslemere score again, and instead took control of the game.

This was kick started through their defence, making huge and dominant tackles that pushed Haslemere back. Levi, Finley and Seb were especially impressive in this aspect.

This gave Cranleigh the opportunity to unleash their backs, who played with flair and skill. They displayed superb handling, crisp passing and great running lines, slicing through Haslemere’s defence. Cranleigh scored eight tries, with hat tricks from Levi and Finn, and two from Seb.

The final score was 40-5 to Cranleigh, a stunning victory that they deserved.

The coaches were proud of their team, who had played the game they knew they were capable of. They looked forward to the next game, away at Pulborough, where they hoped to continue their winning form.
