Important Bar Update

CLUB

Dear Reader,

Please read the following update on Cranleigh RFC Bar from our club honorary secretary in line with the government guidelines.

Until 17th May

Outside of training there is to be no gathering or social drinking at the club – our licenced outdoor space is too small – the bar will remain closed

17th May – 21st June

The bar will be open for drinking indoors / seated in groups of 6 / table service only / masks must be worn when not seated

Inside will be limited to 5 tables to ensure social distancing so that will be 30 max inside and 6 outside.

Our licenced outdoor space is limited to 1 x table of 6 / seated in a group of 6 / table service only / masks must be worn when not seated

As this is table service it could be slower – so please be patient.

Those wishing to attend need to action as below:

  1. 1.Email Martin (custodiancrfc@outlook.com), confirm your name, the other 5 people in your party, the date and entry time

2. Once Martin has received your email he will issue you a table number

3. Upon arrival please use the track & trace QR code on the door and let Martin know you have arrived

4. Martin or a member of his team will cross you off the list / take your temperature after which you can take a seat at your table / order your drinks etc.

5. If your temperature is high you will be asked to go home and follow the guidelines

A one way system will be in place through the clubhouse.  As the number of tables is limited booking will be on a weekly 1st come / 1st allocation basis – please don’t turn up if you have not booked – please do not book every week from the 17th May – 21st June on one email as this reduces the chances of others having the opportunity for a drink

If for whatever reason you cannot attend you must let Martin know in order that your table can be re-allocated.

If there are no takers the bar will not open that evening / may close early.

I hope you can see we are working very hard to open the club while remaining in line with the government guidelines attached.

For those that are not aware the fine if we are caught in breach of the guidelines is £25,000 and the CRFC Committee is individually liable – so let’s hold fast for these final few weeks –  if we all work together we can look forward to the freedom of June 21st.

With kindest regards and stay safe,

Amanda

Honorary Secretary
