News Mini & youth Match Report: Cranleigh U/16 v Old Rutlisians Result 74 -0

Old Whitgitians could not raise a team so handed the points to Cranleigh. Luckily Rutlisians took the fixture but unfortunately could not field a competent front row , so it had to be non contested scrums.
Cranleigh started brightly scoring within eight minutes with a try from Matt Aitken .The Cranleigh pack buzzed about showing great effort and supplying quick ball from rucks and mauls, allowed the team to score five more tries before half time -all at pace and great backing up. Cranleigh did not let Rutlisians into their own half. Half time 36-0.
Replacements made they kept up the pressure with the same enthusiasm and dominating nearly all aspects. Five more tries followed, the best after a move ,by Will Shaler after the ball going through six pair of hands .It was clear they need to get better at improving securing the ruck ball. The delivery from the lineout looked at time a bit sloppy.
Rory Wheeler was impressive with some difficult conversions, Jack Creak looks a forward for the future, but they are all impressive as a team and are looking to improve under a very enthusiastic team of Coaches.
I strongly recommend anyone from the club to attend their home games as for sure they will see a very entertaining game from a set of guys who are improving and like playing together.
