The Passing of Tony Mariner

We report the untimely death of Tony Mariner following a long illness.

Tony, “Moules” as he was affectionately known, was a Vice President of the club, a former mini-coach, vets prop forward and for many years a stalwart of the club when he would often be found at the wheel of our club tractor, mowing the pitches.

Our thoughts go out to Dot his widow who during the nineties was our VP secretary and instigated and catered for our wonderful pre-match lunches.

Their sons Mark and Andrew played for the club for many years at Mini, Junior and Senior level.

He was a great member of the club and will be sadly missed.
